There are many things which Veer Savarkar did for our nation.
Part of it is his part in freedom fight. I will start right from his childhood.
When he was too young (near about 12 years) he decide to take part in freedom fight.
Then he start make union of freinds called as "Mitra Mela", first in Nashik and then in Pune (Ferguson collage). He inspired many people against British.
During this he make an event to create patriotism in Indians on large scale named as "Videshi Kapadon Ki Holi" (i.e. Burn all the cloths which are manufactured in Briton).
Then by the discussing with Lokmanya Tilak, Veer Savarkar decide to travel to the London, and give a turning point to Indian politics. Make it International politics.
There he did many things like inspiring Madanlaal Dhingra, writing some books like "1857- freedom fight of India", celibrating 50th anniversary of freedom fight of 1857 in Bharat Bhavan (India House, it was renamed by Veer Savarkar)
He also supplied guns, bombs and manufacturing process of bombs.
