Question:-

  • What is the diameter and volume of a cylinder whose radius is equal to 5cm and height is 10cm?

Solution:-

Let the radius = r =5cm

Let the height = h =10cm

As we know:-

Diameter = 2r

Therefore:-

Diameter of this cylinder = (2×5)cm

Diameter of this cylinder = 10 cm

Now:-

We have to find, the volume of this cylinder

As we know:-

Volume of cylinder= πr²h u³

Therefore:-

 =  \frac{22}{7} \times  {5}^{2}  \times 10

 =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 25 \times 10

 =  \frac{5550}{7} u³

 = 792.85  u³

  • Hence the diameter and volume of this cylinder is 10cm and 792.85cm³ respectively.
