Hello friend,

Simile-A simile is a figure of speech that makes a comparison, showing similarities between two different things. It draws resemblance with the help of the words “like” or “as”.

Metaphor-A figure of speech in which a word or phrase literally denoting one kind of object or idea is used in place of another to suggest a likeness or analogy between them.

Alliteration-The repetition of usually initial consonant sounds in two or more neighboring words or syllables.

Personification- The attribution of human nature or character to animals, inanimate objects, or abstract notions, especially as a rhetorical figure.

Oxymoron- A figure of speech by which a locution produces an incongruous,seemingly self-contradictory effect.

Onomatopoeia- The formation of a word, as cuckoo, meow, honk, or boom,  by imitation of a sound made by or associated with its referent.

Hope this helps!
