Given polynomial = -2x + y×5a

This can be simplified in two ways.

-2x+y×5a = -2x + 5ay........ (1)

or considering multiplication for whole terns

(-2x+y)×5a = -2ax + 5ay.

We observe that The degree of the polynomial is 2.

Note :- Degree of the polynomial is the greatest degree of terms in the polynomial.
