correct QUESTION :-

What is the distance between

(-6,8) and (-3,9)..

Answer :-

x1 = -6

x2 = -3

y1 = 8

y2 = 9

distance =

 \sqrt{{ (x2 - x1 )}^{2} +{( y2 - y1)}^{2}  } \\  \sqrt{ ({ - 3 - (-6)})^{2} + ( {9 - 8})^{2} } \\  \sqrt{ { 3}^{2} +  {1}^{2}  }  \\  \sqrt{9 + 1}  =  \sqrt{10}

Answer:

\blue{\boxed{To\ Find\ :}}

Distance between (-6,8) & (-3,9)

\blue{\boxed{Formula\ to\ be\ used\ :}}

{\sqrt{(x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2}}

\blue{\boxed{Solution\ :}}

x1 = -6 ; x2 = -3

y1 = 8 ; y2 = 9

Substituting the given terms in the formula ....

{\sqrt{(x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2}}

{\implies{\sqrt{(-3-(-6))^2+(9-8)^2}}}

{\implies{\sqrt{(-3+6))^2+(1)^2}}}

{\implies{\sqrt{(3)^2+(1)^2}}}

{\implies{\sqrt{9+1}}}

{\boxed{\boxed{Distance = {\sqrt{10}}}}}
