- In frog, blood curpuscles are of three types: erythrocytes, leucocytes and thrombocytes.
- Erythrocytes, or RBCs, are large, oval bioconvex and nucleated. They are numerous and contain haemoglobin which is meant for the transportation of oxygen.
- Leucocytes, WBCs, are rounded or irregular, colourless and nucleated cells. They contain granular or agranular cytoplasm.
- Thrombocytes are small discoidal cells with clear cytoplasm and an oval or round nucleus.
