Homologous organs are similar in structures but differ in functions Eg: Human arm and a bird wing. Here arm is used to hold objects and wings are used for flying. Analogous organs differ in structure but perform same function Eg: An insect wing and a bird wing. Here an insect wing is expansion of it's exoskeleton whereas bird's wing is extension of the forelimbs. These things indicate a common orgin of evolution.
