Difference between the manner in which movement takes place in a sensitive plant and in the movement in our legs is that the movement in leaves of a sensitive plant is due to the sudden loss of water from the pad-like swellings called pulvini (present at the base of all leaves of the sensitive plant) and the movement in our legs is caused when the legs muscles pull on the leg bones
