The topics covered in thesyllabus for both the examsare essentially the same. The main difference is the depth in which these topics need to be covered. Board examstest the students on the knowledge of the basics, while you need to cover every advanced aspect of each topic for JEE preparation.

difference between board and school exams are that:
1.in board exam we are not familiar with the types of questions but in school exams we get to know which kind or type of questions may be there.
2.board exams are the preparation keys or leading steps to our aim but the school exams are just to test whether the student is getting the concepts right or not.if the concepts are right u would be promoted to the next class.
3.in board exams we come to know about how much knowledge or understanding capacity do we have but in school exams just cramping is been done.
4.board exams have questions mostly based on day to day related activities but school exams have only bookish questions.
5.in board exams we understand our responsibility and have to become independent but in school exams we are dependent on the teachers.

hope it helps u are..
