Acyl groups and alkyl groups both have parts that are made up of only carbons and hydrogens. But only acyl groups have the carbonyl group made up of a carbon double bonded to an oxygen. An acyl group has an oxygen atom, while the alkyl group does not.

Anonymous: Hey answer please..... I think you are from ICSE BOARD.... That's why you have idea about some organic at this age..... But I am an IIT aspirant..... So it's obvious to know little more than you.... Well answer it if you can..... I have no points to ask it directly from brainly.... Please....

HEYA,

In a primary (1°) carbocation, the carbon which carries the positive charge is only attached to one other alkyl group.

An alkyl group is a group such as methyl, CH3, or ethyl, CH3CH2. These are groups containing chains of carbon atoms which may be branched.
