Well

They are both images in the mind of the computer.

The only difference is how they got onto the computer.

One is a photograph taken by a camera.

The other is a photo taken by a scanner.

We have news paper paragraph, and we need to process it by OCR engine. So we planned initially to scan particular "Paper paragraph" and extract it by OCR engine. It is English text paragraph.

But later on, we thought that we can also take snap shot by "Digital Camera". So what will be the best. Is there any difference between Scan Image and a picture taken by digital camera?

Kindly assist, I will be really thankful.
