What is the difference between a spring and an artesian basin ?

Springs are areas where water naturally flows from the ground. They come in many different forms and sizes, but they all have the same source - aquifers. These underground water reservoirs come in two types: confined and unconfined aquifers. Confined aquifers are just what they sound like - they're confined!
