Revenue is nothing but the income or earnings of an entity.. It is the money or money's value earned by an entity in the course of its business through its operations or by selling something it owns.

However assets are expenses made by a business in aggregate, whose benefits are reaped for more than a year. In other words, anything that you pay for and enjoy it's benefits for more than a year is your asset. It could be in the form of property, plant, equipments, goods available for sale or the people who owe you money..

To summarise,

Revenue is what you earn and Assets are the means through which you earn or the means by which you store your money or money's worth..
