-organism prepares their own food.

-food is generally prepared during day time.{because in this mode of nutrition,presence of chlorophyll(green pigment) sunlight and water are necessary}.

-organism that undergo this mode of nutrition, called autotrophs

-e.g…all green plants and some bacteria posses this mode of nutrition.

*Heterotrophic mode:

-Orgsnisms do not prepares their own food and depends on other for food (mostly on plants).

-food can be obtained any time(because no pigment and sunlight is required).

-organism that undergo heterotrophic mode of nutrition, called heterotrophs.

-e.g…animals, human beings, fungi possess this mode of nutrition.
