what is the difference between bit and byte?

CapGj: Bit is a math unit used in computer for functional purpose but 8 bit constitute a bite which is a mathematical function too....It is cubit and cubite when used with physics and math togethet that is technology used in quantum computers hope u mark me brainliest

Key Difference: A bit is the smallest unit of data in a computer, whereas a byte is a unit of data that is composed of eight bits that are arranged sequentially.
A bit is the smallest unit of data in a computer, it is a single binary digit; it means that the digit can have either of two values and the two values are 0 and 1. Bits are used to encode a single unit of digital information. Computers operate on this base 2 number system. Computer uses bits as bits can easily be implemented with current electronic technology. Bit is basically a short name for binary digit.

hope this will help

rockingprince: Answer: Bits and Bytes both measure amounts of data. However, they are typically used in two different contexts. Bits, kilobits (Kbps), and megabits (Mbps) are most often used to measure data transfer speeds. ... The other important difference is that bytes contain eight bits of data.
