Carbanion is a conjugate base of methane or other hydrocarbon formed by heterolytic cleavage and contain eight electrons 6 are bonded two are nonbonded and carbon is sp3 hybridided having pyramidal geometry. On the other hand carbon radical is formed by homolytic cleavage contain 7 electrons 6 are bonding 1 is non bonding

Carbanion is a conjugate base of methane or other hydrocarbon formed by heterolytic cleavage and contain eight electrons 6 are bonded two are nonbonded and carbon is sp3 hybridided having pyramidal geometry. On the other hand carbon radical is formed by homolytic cleavage contain 7 electrons 6 are bonding 1 is non bonding, sp3 or may be sp2 hybridised .Radicals are more reactive than carbanion.carbanion is stabilised by electron withdrawing group whereas carbon radical stabilised by both electron donating and electron withdrawing both.Carbanion also act as good nucleophile whereas radical doesn't.❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️
