The difference between cell and battery is as follows:

• A cell is a unit that converts chemical energy into electrical energy whereas a battery is formed by a group of cells.

• A cell is used to generate the power for a small period whereas a battery is used to generate the power for a longer period.

• A cell is small and hence cheap whereas a battery is expensive as it consists of a group of cells.
