generally, undergoing through relation and functions branch under math is tough challenge, but understanding the key concept helped you to tackle it easily.
now move to your question,
what is difference between co-domain and range.?
generally, let the two set A and B , we defined a relation on set A to B, then co-domain is defined as whole set B. and the outcomes of the element in domain is termed as range
let it explain by example:-
let a set A={1,2,3} AND B= {9,8,2}
HERE, relation defined as= R={ a+b ≥ 10, ∀ a∈A , b∈B}
now the relation can be written as
R={ {1,9},{2,8}{2,9},{3,9},{3,8}}
here set of first element={1,2,3}=A {domain}
Set of second element ={9,8} ={range}
and whole set B= {9,8,2} IS co-domain.
what you observe here,
range ={9,8} and co-domain={9,8,2}
here always remember, range ⊂ co-domain. {range is subset of co-domain}
this is concept of co-domain and range in relation.
