what is the difference between coherent light source and incoherent light source..............plz answer. fast.....

coherent light sources are those whose phase difference is always constant irrespective of time.

Incoherent sources are those whose phase difference is a function of time therefore changing with time


in youngs double slit experiment,only coherent sources of light must be used not incoherent.
