Compost is the manure which is prepared from the waste products of the farm including vegetable wastes, animal refuses, straw, domestic wastes that are prepared in pits.

Vermicompost on the other hand is the manure prepared by using earthworms.

Composting process generally takes 3 to 6 months to complete whereas vermicomposting hardly takes 1 or 2 months.
