confidence is a good trait to have where a person is sure about his course of action, whereas overconfidence means excessive belief in their own abilities ignoring the fact that their decision can be wrong

Confidence and overconfidence are two different traits in mankind confidence is good traits that helps the people to achieve there goal by making them confident that they can do that thing and making them belief yes they will do it but overconfidence means that the person is overconfident about his abilities he ignores all the fact and he feels himself great and this can lead to the downfall of that person.
