In rectilinear motion the body travels in a straight line whereas in curvilinear motion the body travels in a curved path. In rectilinear motion the body can travel with uniform velocity whereas in curvilinear motion the velocity keeps changing as the direction keeps changing.

CURVILINEAR MOTION :

⇒ Curvilinear motion is defined as the motion of a body travelling through a circular path

⇒ A body in curvilinear motion has a velocity zero after completing one rotation

⇒ The direction of the body at any point is the tangent drawn to the circle at that point.

⇒ The velocity is variable .

LINEAR MOTION

⇒ Linear motion is defined as the motion traveled by a body in a straight path.

⇒ A body travelling in linear motion never has zero as its velocity

⇒ The direction of motion is the direction its facing

⇒ The velocity may be variable or non variable

Hope it helps ;-)
