double displacement eg:bacl2+naso4=baso4+nacl2
2 compound interchanges.
displacement eg:mg+hcl=mgcl2+h2
single compound exchange its place

Simple Displacement Reaction is a reaction in which one element displaces another element from its compound

Double Decomposition Reaction  is a reaction in which both the reactants are decomposed to give 2 new compounds by exchanging their radicals
