Equatorial region is the which is near to the equator.This region receives perpendicular sunrays & hence this region is hotter than the other regions. The polar region lies on the north & the south pole of the earth. This region makes 90 degrees with respect to the core of the earth. Due to this it receives the lowest amount of sunlight & hence regions are comparatively colder
