the difference between drought and flood is that drought is a period of below average rainfall, longer and more severe than a dry spell why flood is a ( usually disastrous) overflow of water from a lake or other body of water due to excessive rainfall or other input of water .
Flood is a disaster caused due to excess of water. Drought is a disaster caused due to lack of water.
