small g- it is the acceleration accquired by the body due to earth's gravitational pull. it varies from place to place. it is maximum at the poles and minmum at the equator.
it value on earth is 9.8 m/s -2
G- it is the force of attraction between two masses of 1 kg each separated by the distance of 1meter. in g it is constant. its value on earth is 6.67 * 10 to the power -11 N ms2 kg.

small 'g' stands for the gravitation force exerted on a object by a huge body
whereas
capital'G' stands for the universal gravitational constant whose value is
6.67*10^11
and the relation between 'g' and 'G' is g=G*m/r^2
where, 'm' is mass of the body & 'r' is the radius of the body
