The difference between getting one's rights and doing one's duty:

  • Getting one’s right is the right enjoyed by people granted by the constitution for the well being of the people such as the right to free speech and expression, right against exploitation, right to freedom, right to equality, right to constitutional remedies.
  • However, doing one’s duty is the duty one need to perform being the citizen of the country such as duty to respect the national flag, national anthem and national song of the country, to preserve the rich heritage and culture of the country, to ensure brotherhood and preserve the ethos of the country.
