What is the difference between heights of the top of a hill 97m above sea level and crack caused by an earthquake 50 m below the sea level ?
(a) 247 m
(b) 150 m

Here is your answer

Here, height of the top of the hill =97m. (we denote it as a positive integers)

And crack caused by a earthquake =-50m(we denote it by negative integers)

Now difference = 97m-(-50)m

=97m+50m =147m
