Hello Riya,

Hyperbole is a figure of speech when something is highly exaggerated or boasted about.

For example - I am so hungry that I can give my left arm for a pizza.

As you know, it is highly irrational and inane that anyone can cut his arm and give for a pizza, but this sentence shows the high intensity of hunger of the speaker. Therefore, this is an example of hyperbole. This adds humour as well as beauty to a prose or poem.

Personification is a figure in which humanly attributes are assigned to a non-living object.

For example- The flowers swayed and danced in the fluttering breeze.

As you know, the flowers are non-living objects and they cannot dance- only we, human beings can dance. So, the speaker is assigning human qualities to the flower. Therefore, it is an example of personification. This adds beauty to a prose or poem.
