what is the difference between in these two sentences? (1) I could have killed the lion. (2) Iam able to kill the lion. ???

(1) in this sentence he could have killed the lion but not killed.
(2) he killed the tiger.
(2) he killed the tiger.

Heya!
The only difference is that, in the 1st sentence you wished to kill the lion. but you didn't. if there is any chance, you would have done it.
so, we use " I could have done it " , " I could have read it" etc.,
but in the 2nd sentence you are telling about your capacity that you are able to kill the lion.
