what is the difference between inertia and newton's First Law Of Motion??? THERE IS A MINUTE DIFFERENCE...THEY BOTH ARE.NOT SAME

inertia means. the moving body wants to stay in motion and the rest body wants to stay in rest only
1st law is the body which is in a position wants to stay in that position only until any external force acts on it
there is a slight difference

Inertia is the property of a body by virtue of which when it is moving in uniform motion, it tends to remain in motion and when it is at rest it tends to remain in rest..
Newton's first law of Motion states that when a body is in uniform motion, it tends to remain in motion and if it is at rest, it tends to remain at rest until and unless an external force acts on it..
In inertia, external force is not mentioned whereas in Newton's first law of motion, external force is very important to be mentioned...
