Intensive subsistence agriculture has the following characteristics which are different from primitive agriculture:
.very small land holdings due to the laws of inheritence
.multiple cropping, crop rotation and double cropping if practised but in the case of  intensive agriculture. but in the case of primitive one the crops are left to grow on their own and no irrigation or fertilisation is provided
.much human and animal labour is involved in intensive agriculture but in the case of primitive  which is practised in the backward areas no such steps are taken
PRIMITIVE AGRICULTURE IS NOT AN ECO FRIENDLY METHOD AS IT INVOLVES DEFORESTATION AND BURNING INCREASES THE RATE OF THE GREEN HOUSE GASES.
.in primitive farming primitive tools are used but on the contrary intensive is based on scientific methods
