What is the difference between Involuntary and reflex actions?

involuntary actions are those actions which happens without our willing or in simple words without our participation. whereas reflex actions are those which occurs simultaneously with stimuli

Involuntary -

1. these sre some special features of our body done with the help of smooth muscles.

2. these are mostly controlled by brain.

3. some actions are performed through out life time.

4. they may be slow or fast

5. ex. Heart beat


reflex -

1. automatic responses of body done by voluntary muscles

2. controlled by spinal chord

3. performed only during emergency situations

4. always fast

5. ex. Removing hand from hot plate
