what is the difference between laboratory ethanol and drinking alcohol?


Leosony: Ethanol is the only type of alcohol that can be consumed. The other types of alcohol include methyl alcohol , rubbing alcohol & butanol .
Leosony: Some alcohols are soluble in water and some others are not .Alcohol with 4 or less carbon chain are soluble in water & those with 5 or more carbons are not.

lab ethanol is highly pure and can not b drink

The main difference is that the laboratory ethanol is denatured and drinking ethanol is not denatured . It means that lab ethanol has some amount of poisonous substance which make it unfit for drinking purpose
