what is the difference between legislature and executive ?

the difference is one cannot perform the works of other organ and that is separation of powers. Everyone know the separation of judiciary. But to mark the difference between legislature and executive is sometimes difficult. Legislature do laws and it has to be implemented byexecutive.

Legislature makes the laws on subjects enlisted in union,state,concurrent list and residuary subjects
Executive enforces the laws which are made by the Legislature
