what is the difference between lens and a mirror?it's a simplequestion but i want to know all the answers given by u people.

Lens is the one which refracts light and mirror reflects the light. In order to impose the picture over a specified screen( image sensor) in proper aspect ratio with minimized chromatic aberration, lenses are used. But mirrors are used in viewfinder to reflect the image from lens to viewfinder.
