Answer : Difference between magnification and magnifying power

Explanation :

Magnification - magnification is equal to the ratio of size of image and size of object.

we used a microscope to examine the cells under magnification.

Magnifying power - magnifying is equal to the ratio of the dimension of the image and the object.

Ello......!

Magnification:

Magnification means linear magnification.

It is the ratio of the linear size of the image to the linear size of object.

It refers to an image which may by real or virtual and magnified or diminished.

It does not depend upon the position of the observer.

Magnifying power:

Magnifying power means angular magnification.

It is the ratio of the angle subtended by the image at the eye to the angle subtended by the object at the eye, when placed at a distance of distinct vision.

It refers only to an image which is virtual and magnified.

It depends upon the position of the observer.
