What is the difference between micro operation and macro operation?

Micro Operation is a level 2 operation, executing directly from the hardware and is used for providing macro instructions.

Whereas, macro operations are greater than level 2 (or more).

It depends on the structural design of your CPU. Micro operation is involved in its execution and it is better understood as an assembly operation
