Actually all ores are minerals but all minerals are not ores.
Ores is a mineral from which the element can br extracted profitably.

a rock is a made up of 2 or more minerals,whereas a mineral is composed of the same substance thoughout.ore-a mineral occuring in sufficient quantity and containing enough metal to permit its recovery and extraction at a profit.....rock mined for its metal content is an ore.
