monosaccharides or single(simple) sugars
wih chemical formula -C6H12O6 .
these need no digestion and are straightway absorbed into the body.
three types of simple sugars are :
Glucose, fructose, galactose.

disaccharides or double sugars
with chemical formula C12H22O11.
they are also three and require digestion.
types:Sucrose,maltose,lactose.
