what is the difference between natural and synthetic fibres​

Natural fibres can soak the water as they have spaces in between but on the other hand synthetic can’t soak in the water as they don’t have small spaces in between them

When natural fibre are burnt they smell like burning hair or paper on the other hand synthetic smells like hazardous fumes for eg :nylon
