What is the difference between net force and resultant force and when a book is kept on a table what is the resultant force on it ​

yes there is a difference between the two terms.

the force which is resultant of a motion or an action is called resultant force

where as,

the positive and negative or balanced and unbalanced forces sum up make the net force

Net force is the force which is the actual force applied by a book on the table .On the other hand resultant force is the force which is applied by us and produces a change in the state of the object

When a book is kept on a table resultant force will be zero
