A number is count or measurement that is really a idea in our minds

we write or talk about numbers about numbers using numerals such as "4" or "four"

but we could also hould up four fingers or tap the ground four times

these r all different ways of referring to the same number

there r also special numbers (like π (Pi) that can't be written exactly but r still numbers because they know the idea behind them

A numerical is a symbol or name that stands for a number

eg 3,49 and twelve are all numerals

so the number is how we write
