An organelle is a tiny specialised structure within a cell. While the name means “tiny organ”, an organelle is not an organ. Examples of organelles include nuclei, golgi bodies, mitochondria and chloroplasts

An organ is made of many cells arranged to form tissues, which act together to form an organ. Examples of organs include the heart, liver, spleen and uterus.
