Pathogen and vector both can be simply said as a cause of any disease. Actually, a pathogen is defined as the cause of a disease. Whereas a vector is a carrier of a pathogen. For example, Dengue Fever Virus is the pathogen of the disease "dengue", while Aedes mosquito is the vector of the disease.
