Combustion is the reaction of hydrocarbons (molecules containing C and H) with oxygen to create water and carbon dioxide (or soot and CO in the case of incomplete combustion)
In photosynthesis, plant cells called chloroplasts absorb carbon dioxide and water and use sunlight to form glucose, which contains oxygen.

Photosynthesis:- Photosynthesis is a process in which plants make their food by using water, sunlight and carbon dioxide. The leaves make the food. For this they are known as the food factory of the plant.
Combustion:- Combustion is an exo thermic process. It is a chemical process in which a substance reacts rapidly with oxygen and gives off heat. In this process the original substance is called a fuel and the source of oxygen is called an oxidizer. A fuel can be a solid, liquid or gas . It takes place when mostly a a fossil fuel reacts with oxygen in the air to produce heat. The heat created by burning of oil is used in boilers, kilns, furnaces and engines etc.
