The movement of leaves of a sensitive plant is neither towards, nor away from the stimulus touch; it is a non-directional movement (nastic movement) while movement of shoot is towards the stimulus like light; it is adirectional movement (tropic movement). 8. Give an example of aplant hormone that promotes growth.

poojakumaresh26: what is responsible for nastic hormone
poojakumaresh26: sorry nastic movement
sanugamu: Nastic movement is generally caused by elastic changes in the size of special motor cells within the plant tissue. These changes are generally produced by changes in osmotic pressure due to an influx or efflux of ions that cause water to move in or out of the cells.
