Hello there
Actually the pyramid represents a shape of 3 dimensional Triangle where all sides are equal.
Now the difference is a lot and can be observed very easily.So now the prism normally represents a 3d Triangle which might be different in the length or angels of all the sides .
And one more difference is prism is actually meant a small Triangle made up of glass and some kind of UV coating on the surface.
Pyramid can not be reffered to a small Triangle ,it basically represents a huge Triangle like Pyramids in Egypt.
