Resistance tells us the specific number of ohms that a physical piece of conductor has whereas Resistivity is the electrical property of a material (carbon, silver or copper) can be calculated using the resistivity property.

Resistance :

The capacity of a substance to resist movement of electrons through it is called resistance. A resistance is a proportionality constant for Potential difference and Electric Current.

Resistance of any substance depends upon following factors :-

• Length of conductor

• Cross section area of conductor

• Resistivity of any susbtance

• Temperature of conducto

Resistivity :

The nature of a substance to have some amout of resistance which don't depends upon length or area of conductor but on type of materal used and temperature.
