What is the difference between reverberation and echo phenomena?

1-Echo-If we shout or clap, near a tall building or a hill, we will hear the same sound back in a little time. This is called an echo.

2-Reverberation-A sound created in a big hall will persist by repeated reflections from the walls until its reduced to a value where it is no longer in the audible range of human hearing. This phenomenon is called as revereberation.
